Experience
• Worked as PR Executive for Sutra Advertising and Positive Relations for more than 1yr. My responsibilities included tracking and monitoring of news, preparing daily synopsis of news items, preparing weekly, monthly and yearly analysis for clients like UNICEF, Vedant, Airtel & NRHM. Minimizing negative news of the clients in media.
• Experience of organizing press conference, workshop, corporate events and media managements on behalf of the clients.
• An extensive experience in translating features, notices and declarations for news papers and press releases (from English & Hindi to Oriya) during my PRship in Sutra. Translated lot many business, cultural features and press releases on agriculture, archeology, arts & humanities, astrology, business & commerce, cinema, cosmetics & beauty, education, environment, folklore, food/ nutrition, health care, human resources, insurance, medicine, religion, telecommunications, tourism & travel.
• Worked with agencies like IPAN, Integrated Brand Comm, Vox PR, Integral PR, Rediffusion Y & PR, Text 100, Sampark PR, India Media Relation and Paradigmsift.
• Proven skills in Copy- editing of advertisements for print media, hoardings and other outdoor mediums.
• Proof-reading of a supplement for children published by Anupam Bharat, a leading daily in Orissa.
Present occupation:
Fulltime Translator-Freelancer
Undertake regular and special translation projects from various companies and agencies, worldwide. Primarily I deal with translations into Oriya language (from English and Hindi). I also take projects for transcription, interpretation and voiceover (male & female).
Being a full time translator and freelancer I am having a complete professional work set up at home.
