Work Experience
Dubai International Financial Centre-DIFC
Dun & Bradstreet-D&B in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (Worked Temporarily for Approximately 1 Month from December 14 2008 to January 22 2009)
• Worked as an Intern/Apprentice.
• Research Study Program to study the situations and the conditions of governmental fields in the country to support and to develop the schools as well as to improve the educational facilities in the country by performing complete field studies for all schools through a survey that the schools carry out.
• Checked, edited, and proofread the survey to amend and to modify it properly; inserted notes and comments.
• Managed interviewers’ tele-calling. Took some notes.
• Demonstrated and translated duties and responsibilities to the interviewers’ and to the schools regarding the use of the survey.
• Tele-called schools to give and to get information as well as data regarding the surveys themselves. Took notes of some of their comments, complaints, suggestions, recommendations, etc.
• Teamwork-shared views, information, data, notes, comments, suggestions, recommendations, etc. Assisted, supported, and collaborated with each other in the project.
• Translated notes and comments in the surveys plus other documents. Checked for the correctness of some work that had already been translated by others.
• Checked for logic, completeness, relevance, and accuracy of the surveys’ responses.

• Worked remotely from home as a field researcher in the research project “Unemployed Youth in the UAE: Personal Perceptions and Recommendations”.
• Used my communication skills to interview people based on a questionnaire that was given to me and to outline the purpose and aim of the research to them. I conducted the interview either face to face or via phone.
• Used probing techniques to get more useful information from interviewees.
• Typed and transcribed interview responses and any useful key points, quotes, etc they stated in the questionnaire in English and translated any response from Arabic into English or vice versa.
• Inserted data and records in spreadsheets and reported back to team leader on weekly updates.
• Provided my own brief views, suggestions, notes, comments, analysis on every interview.
• Collaborated with team members to share thoughts, feelings, interview results, overcome challenges, etc. As team members, we also paired up and interviewed one another.
• Communicated with team leader and members via email, phone, meetings.
