Education, qualifications and Training
2003-2005: graduated from the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI), Buea, Cameroon. Diploma: Master of Arts (MA) in translation.
2003-2003: completion of the course part of the Maîtrise in English literature. Write-up still going on. The same year: Diploma in IT and Telecommunications from Metronet Computer, Yaounde –Cameroon
1999-2002: Bachelor’s degree in bilingual studies- English and French,with special focus on translation.

Further Training
2005: three month training in financial translation at Cultural Gap Hoppers (Translation Company) in Buea.

2004: training in computer-assisted translation and the use of Internet resources from the American Embassy translation team. The same year, additional training at the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reforms in the Cameroon’s government. Duration: 3 months.

Scientific Contribution
Defended a space-setting dissertation on a new form of translation virtually ignored by the scientific community in translation studies all over the world. This is the translation from oral to written discourse or Translation at hearing’, as I put it, (as opposed to sight translation), a type of translation very common in Africa and some of European and
Asian countries (A dissertation under publication).
