Excellent Research skills
Experience in translation
I have been working as a translator since 2002, attending different courses and seminars, many of which are not included in this resume since I do not remember the date in which they were attended. I have translated a lot, working in several fields such as metallurgy, mechanical field, geology, machinery, highly technical subjects, manuals, brochures and etc. On the other hand, I have plenty of experience working on the legal field, translating for lawyers, and engineers, experts on patents and trademarks. For the last three years I have been working for a patent and trademark law firm, a very well-known firm in Chile. I work as a translator/assistant, translating everything from e-mails, faxes, examination reports, arguments, memoradum of response, official actions, resolutions and I have translated several patent applications as well.
Although, I am still currently working for said firm, I do translate as much as I can, and I would love to start working as a freelance translator on a daily basis, searching for all kind of information, learning about as many topics as possible and translating, editing and writing. Also, I would like to learn about subtitling.
