Degree encompassed a compulsory gap year, during which I worked as a Language Assistant in Austria (teaching English in three High Schools) as well as five months study (translation studies) at Perpignan University, France.
Degree course also included 8 weeks of teacher training practice in high schools in Stirlingshire, as well as teaching classes (German and French) at Stirling University (although I decided not to progress with teaching as a career, it was valuable experience in developing my interpersonal and organisational skills).

I have been working since August 2002 as an in-house translator & proof-reader (German and French to English) in a translation agency.

The above role encompassed: offering IT and technical advice to large-scale organisations (Philips and Siemens), order logging, escalations and general administration.
