OBJECTIVE
To provide a high degree of enlightenment and cross cultural interrelationships, by making the writings and languages of a people accessible to other peoples of the planet, thus creating a better world ruled by understanding and respect for the values and norms of different peoples of the world.
FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY
Kobian Languages is a robust and diverse linguistic organization composed of staff who are well trained in the English language, and are well versed in the various ethnic languages which they handle, of which they also have an indigenous advantage, as each person is skilled in the translation of his/her mother tongue making it easier and more possible to get a natural translation. Each language specialist is also trained in the specific art of translation.
The firm has a staff strength of five (5), as well as access to steady, well tested specialized freelance translators in the event of really large jobs too great for in-house staff to handle.
Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and English are the languages the firm handles, Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba being the local indigenous languages, and English the more or less universal language. Translations in between any two of the languages can be handled.
An important aspect of language dealings is the issue of dialects. In most if not all indigenous African languages, dialects abound. Kobian staff are well equipped to handle the variations that come with dialects.
