Qualifications And Professional Competence
- Certified translator in English/Italian/Maltese by an international institution, Societa` Dante Alighieri. Pass Mark - Distinction
- Certified SDL Trados translator with knowledge and experience in Translator’s Workbench, TagEditor, MultiTerm and WinAlign
- Certified T.E.F.L (Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) tutor by the international teacher training centre, Geos English Language Centre. Pass Mark – B
- Attended an intensive in house training within the Language Services Division of a European Institution. At the moment, she is one of their freelance translators
- Worked as a quality control editor responsible for Maltese translations with an international translation agency
- Translate all sorts of material, excluding documents related to mechanics and engineering. Do also short term on-site translation jobs. Translation capacity: 3,000 words daily
- Area of specialization: mainly documentation in relation to corporate, governmental, political and international institutions. Translate also financial, educational and media related material and websites. Do also general documentation and manuscripts
- Completed entire projects for international translation agencies and institutions such as the European Commission
- Translated ten chapters for a book about a Maltese village with the name ‘Qrendi – Storja b’żewġ lingwi ta' ġrajjiet Raħal Malti/Essays on the History of a Maltese Village’ written by Andrew N. Welsh and published by Din l-Art Ħelwa.
- Write articles about the Maltese language in local newspapers and international translation websites/newsletters, such as Proz.com, Translation Directory, Translator Pub and Translation Journal
Education
I graduated in Social Studies from the University of Malta in 2001. Subjects studied during these four year course had a specific focus on industrial relations, economics, sociology and psychology.

Since there is no affiliation for Maltese translators locally, it is important to be involved in national organizations closely related to the Maltese Language. I am a member in the following organizations
