Summary
I am 30 years old and am currently employed as Senior Property Manager at Asteco in Abu Dhabi. I am due to
begin a part-time MA in Translation Studies via distance learning at the University of Portsmouth in February
2010.
I have many interests, including: literature, film, languages and sport (running, Pilates, yoga and swimming)
and take part in various races for charity. I have excellent IT skills and am proficient in: Microsoft Office,
Circle (Investor and Developer), SPSS, Sketchup, Endnote, Opera II, LandMaster, Teamware, Timebase,
Oracle and Estateman.
I speak fluent French and German, basic Spanish and beginner’s Arabic and have a full UAE driving licence
and resident’s visa. I have excellent communication and time-management skills and have experience of
carrying out presentations in both an academic and professional environment.
Experience
Senior Property Manager
1. Overall management of the Property Management Teams in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain portfolios, including
approximately 1,500 units: residential and mixed-use tower blocks and villa complexes with overall annual
income of AED 250 million.
2. Management: Responsible for devising and implementing new procedures in the team and for training
and recruitment of staff. Involved in creation of strategies for increasing efficiency and productivity within
the company.
3. Client relations: Responsible for maintaining client relations and reporting on market trends and
conditions.
4. Business development: identifying new business opportunities, submitting proposals for new business,
negotiating terms of management agreements.
General Practice Surveyor
1. Property Management of wide range of properties within Council's portfolio (service charges, insurances,
repairs, assignments, surrenders, terminations, renewals); Landlord & Tenant (rent review and Section 25
negotiations); Agency (marketing, negotiating and preparing agreements); Disposals; Valuation (including
asset valuations and development appraisals); budget monitoring.
2. Temporary additional role: training and supervision of Property Database Team to implement new
procedures to improve efficiency and productivity. I was also involved in the recruitment and selection
process.
