WORK EXPERIENCE
1) Working as an Italian Translator for IBM India
Client: MPS, third largest Italian bank and world's oldest bank
Job Profile: Apart from translation of architectural, design related document, test cases and other documents, I coordinate with the team of translators. I attend meetings with Italian counterparts deciding about the priority of the documents for translation and allocation of the same. I also maintain and send the status reports on different work packets.
Tools Used: Systran and online dictionaries

2) Worked as an Italian Language Specialist for BPO Matrix (12/01/09-30/06/09)
Client: Hotelplan, Italy
Job Profile: I was working on a tour and travel process wherein I used to translate the itineraries, requests and queries which we used to get from our clients on daily basis. I also translated the documents and catalogues for different destinations like US, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and other Far East countries. I was also assigned the job of documentation of details regarding tours, excursions and hotels.
Tools Used: The company had an internal tool, which was in experimentation stage, to get the translation done. So, I used that. Apart from this tool, I used online dictionaries.

3) Worked as an Italian Translator for Kuoni Destination Management (10/09/08-15/12/08)
Job Profile: In this project I was assigned the task of translating the descriptions of different hotels with which KDM had a contract. I used to lead the team of Italian translators.
Tools Used: Here, I basically used online dictionaries and forums.

4) Worked as an Intern for iGuzzini Illuminazione Spa, Italy (03/04/08-30/05/08)
Job Profile: Sales and customer assistance for overseas clients. I also used to do the translation work.

5) Worked as a Senior Executive for First Europa Services Ltd. (01/02/07–31/07/07)
Job Profile: I was assigned the task of translation, process documentation, competitors
landscaping, website content development and assisting the marketing team in various
promotional campaigns. I along with one of my colleague made the induction powerpoint
presentation.
Tools Used: Here, I used online dictionaries and forums.

ACHIEVEMENTS
• Won the Slogan Contest in IBM on the eve of World Environment Day, 2010
• Won Macerata’s Chamber of Commerce’s Scholarship of a year duration to pursue first level masters course in relationships with eastern European countries at the Macerata University, Macerata, Italy
• Won the Italian Government Scholarship of three months duration to study Italian language and culture at the University for Foreigners, Perugia, Italy
• Topper in all the nine semesters of Italian language
