Located in Southern Africa, East of Angola Zambia is geographically, a landlocked country in south-central Africa and is one-tenth larger than Texas. The country’s neighbours include Angola, Zaire, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. It has the features of a plateau land that is 8,000 ft (2,434 m) in the east. Interestingly it is the home to waterfalls the Victoria Falls and many other magnificent waterfalls and is rich in biodiversity. Its wildlife, superb safaris, makes it an adventurous country. The distance between Angola and Zambia is 1,110 km, Democratic Republic of the Congo and the host country is 1,930 km, while Malawi is 837 kms away from Zamba.The distance from the domain to Mozambique 419 km, Namibia 233 km, Tanzania 338 km and Zimbabwe 797 km. The country has a land area of 285,994 sq mi (740,724 sq km); and total area: 290,586 sq mi (sq km).
Climate:
It has a tropical climate modified by altitude; rainy season (October to April) and mostly high plateau with some hills and mountains. The lowest point is Zambezi river 329 m and the highest point is an unnamed location in Mafinga Hills 2,301 m.
Coastline
It does not have a coastline since it is landlocked. The Zambezi forms a natural riverine boundary with Zimbabwe.
