Culture
The cultural life in The Netherlands is varied and lively. The netherland themselves take great pride in their cultural heritage.
Traditionally, The Netherlands is seen as the land of tulips, mills and wooden shoes. However, next to these symbols there are many other aspects and habits that makes the netherland culture so special, well known and loved by people from all over the world.
It is a country of flowers. Bulbs, flower parades and markets castle gardens and flower auctions can be found around every corner. It is also known as the land of ‘cheese’.
It is the ultimate bicycling country. The netherland use the bicycle as a way of transportation rather than just for recreation. A netherlandman without a bike is like a fish without water!
