People
People boast mix and match culture of tradition and modernity. A large section of people living in cities have totally absorbed western standard of living and show cultural proximity with United States. Around 70-75 percent of people live in cities and towns. However, people living in rural areas still follow conventional way of living having abstracts from indian customs. Over all literacy rate is 89.6 percent. However, female literacy rate is less then that of male. Male literacy rate is 91.8%, while female literacy rate is 87.4%.
Around 89% of people in Mexico identify themselves as Roman Catholic, 6% recognize themselves as Protestant and 5% are others. People are Food aficionados and interesting part of their food habit is that eating chilly is a kind of addiction to the people in Mexico. New generation is exploring and craving for new flavor and ingredient. The country as a whole shows cultural resemblance with Latin America.

Mexico is an intriguing nation with its surreal custom, way of living, complex and strange terrains and interest demonstrated by the people. Mexico is a country having cocktail of cuisines found all over the world, particularly indian and Spanish cooking tradition. The city has retained its identity as is not spoiled by industrialization. Everything is green. Country is not fully urbanized and more then two third of people still live in small cities and rural areas. Tacos and tortillas are popular dishes among Mexicans. Generally, a regular course of breakfast includes bread, cereals, soup, bean, popcorn, fresh fruit juice and tortillas.
