Climate
Greece enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate. It is perfect for those who enjoy the sun, as for over two thirds of the year the country has clear, sunny skies. In summers, dry hot days are cooled by seasonal breezes known as 'meltemia', especially in the north and coastal areas. Winters are mild and rainy, with temperatures sometimes dropping to freezing point, especially in the north. Snow is not uncommon in the mountainous regions in winter. November to March is the rainy season.
