Constitution of China was adopted on 1947. Chinese constitution has one party system. The only party that has led the country since its inception in 1921 is Communist Party of China. The Communist Party of China (CPC) also known as Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was founded in 1921 and only ruling party in the Republic of China. Prime Minister is the chief executive of the state and President is the head of the Republic of China. There is division of responsibilities between Prime Minister and president of Republic of China. Judiciary encompasses various systems at various levels.
China was embroiled into civil war from 1927 to 1950. Civil war was primarily between Communist Party of China and Kuomintang. In between this, China involved into war with Japan from 1937 to 1945. |
