The Country History
The country was inhabited by aboriginal Canadians. Other ethnic communities in Canada are Chinese, East indian and Indo-Caribbean, Black and Afro-Caribbean, Jewish, Filipino, Métis, Arab, Latin American and Vietnamese.
France controlled the country and declared its claim over Canada in 1534. England set up its first company in 1670, while France had already colonized Canada. It sparked conflict between France and England due to obvious reasons. In 1867, Canada became independent from French colonization and established as self-governing dominion.
Canada participated in World War I and World War II in favor of Allies. It is a founding member of United Nations and has served for twelve years as non permanent member of Security Council.
